Tonights Show featuring: Psychedelic Furs, Gang of Four, Tricky, Iggy Pop, Four Tet, Kelpe, Filthy Dukes, !TRASH YOURSELF, The Death Set etc..

We have new equipment at the studio which means new stuff to learn, so its a bit of a disjointed show, BUT there's cool shit in there....

Gang of Four – What we all want
An awesome track from 1981 from the album Return the Gift, grooves like no other,
Psychedelic Furs – Alice’s House (Early Version)
Classic post-punk from this legendary and underrated band who's hey day came about from the title track for the soundtrack for Pretty In Pink, that Molly Ringwald movie
Iggy Pop – Raw Power
Mr Osterberg, the godfather of Punk, this is about as Raw as it gets
Tricky – Past Mistake
Lovely song from the new Tricky album Knowles West Boy.
Midnight Juggernauts – Road To Recovery
Them Juggs with a cut from their Dystopia album. went to a club a week ago for a Halloween party and they were giving away free albums and this was one of them, thanks Domino:)
Four Tet – Ringer
Another freebee from a most productive night dressed as a ghoul. This is from the EP Ringer, a 9:58 ponderer (if that is a word, if not, its mine now) of Electronica heaven
Eugene McGuiness – Moscow State Circus
Morrisseyesque track from Eugene's latest album from Domino, (thanks again lads) he hails from Fullell Cross in the UK
Amy Winehouse – You Know I’m No Good
Never a truer word sung from the perrenially in trouble diva/genius troublemaker of pop. Apparently she is planning a secret divorce. Lets hope this woman can overcome her problems and keep making music, she's like the Edith Piaf of our generation. Talent like hers should be cherished
Cass McCombs – Lionkiller
Opening track from last years Dropping the Writ, another lovely gift from the Domino peeps. Yay cool.
Tricky – Slow
Tricky doing a Kylie cover, takes the original sex fest track and adds a bit of Tricky menace, freaking fantastic
The All Seeing I – Beat Goes On (Radio Edit)
A perenial favourite of mine, one of the coolest bass line in decades...and the beat goes on.......
Iggy Pop – Nightclubbing
Iggy Nightclubbing, we're Nightclubbing...... played this at a party on saterday night, people loved it AND asked "Who is this?" bloody brilliant, Iggy is a god

Gang of Four – At Home He’s A Tourist (The Others Rmx)
From the v2 album Return the Gift, the second disc is most of the tracks remixed by the likes of Ladytron, The Phones etc
Does It Offend You Yeah? – With a Heavy Heart (I Regret To Inform You)
Band named after a line from Ricky Gervais . They are fom Reading, they are loud and awesome!! Love them, I do
Kelpe – Bread Machine Bred (Zombie Zombie Rmx)
Londoners Kelpe get Zombied, sexy future retro track, another track I played on saterday night, went down a storm!
Joakim & Disco – Love & Romance & a Special Person
Another great track from Joakim and his new band & Disco
White Lies – Death (Haunts Rmx)
UK band White Lies come over all Gothy Electro,
Matthew Dear – Free To Ask (D’Julz Rmx)
Mr Dear gets remixed, its hard to remix perfection, but this gets right up there
Filthy Dukes – Tupac Robot Club Rock (Filthy Dukes Kill Em All Rmx)
Lovely buliding track, if you join their mailing list you can get it for free here
Moby – Ooh Yeah (D. Ramirez Haunted Playground Rmx)
This new Moby track gets haunted, wicked..
Alex Metric – Deadly On A Mission (autoKratz Rmx)
Kitsunes autoKratz's misson is to give us brilliant dance music, he never dissapoints. Electronic coolness from an up and coming star, Metric is about to go global, he was named "remixer of 2007" by XFM's Eddy Temple Morris, following in the heady footsteps of Jacques Le Cont, Phones, Jagz Kooner and Unkle, high praise indeed!
Peterfy Bori & Love Band – Hello Modern Dizajn (SKC Rmx)
Hungarian actress and musician with her band Love Band, really cool!
Trash Yourself – Forget It
John Bourke who needs no introduction with his cohort Heidi Cannon, making electro industrial madness, Thanks John for this awesome chunky tune, I dropped it on saterday night to an adoring mass, it went down extremely well. Look to the left of the screen for a link to their mySpace page.
The Death Set – Negative Thinking (Treasure Fingers Remix)
Vocoder heavy Faint-like track circa Danse Macabre. "The Death Set hails from Baltimore, Maryland, by way of Gold Coast, Australia, where Johnny Siera met co-founding member Beau Velasco in 2005. Both drawn to each other’s reckless care of music, the duo united to write fleeting songs with lifelong hooks and overdriven melody. Hell-bent on recording and touring, The Death Set moved first to Sydney, quickly to Brooklyn, and finally to the meaner streets of Baltimore where their punk rock abandon could thrive" read more here
