WELL, I have been away in London for a few days, and it was INSANE, it was the Camden Crawl and we went to see a few bands, I also got stitches to PROVE I had a wicked time. We saw The Fall, who were excellent, Mark E Smith is nuts and eccentric and wonderful all at the same time. Also saw Echo and the Bunnymen, they were SHIT unfortunately, SOOOO dissapointed, I was REALLY looking forward to seeing them, clearly they werent too happy with being there and stumbled through their set. It was VERY dissapointing!! Managed to see The Whip as well who were great, as well as Datarock who were tremendous fun. Of course we hung out in Camden and I spent a fortune on LOADS of cool shit, but one could NEVER have enough money for that place!!!
So, with me being away for a few days, my email box has filled up quite dramaticaly,INCLUDING a VERY exciting one from John Bourke of TRASH YOURSELF! Some WICKED new remixes, as well as news of where they are playing at the moment, you can love me later:

THEN, there is a NEW track from George Lenton, YAAAAAAAAY:
this is a little sort of hip hoppy i track i made the other day, and thought i might as well share. Ive got other tracks from months ago that i want to finish and send out, but i guess its sod's law that i start and finish something else... hopefully ill get them out before the world ends in 2012....
you may have to rename the file (if your the kind of person that likes files to have the right name an shit) it the second one i burnt off, thats why its called "island in the sun 2" it should just be island in the sun.
bob marleys nothing to do with this track either, i carnt remember who the tracks by, we can all relate bob to reggae though, which is why he makes an appearence at the end. and we can also relate to the lame-ness of the banks at the mo! and what the fucks with the law's about not being able to photograph police incase its used to help terrorists, ? pft!!! lame
ummmm, thats about it, sorry this mail's a bit slack, im drifting about a bit at the mo, finally managed to get out of a 7;30am bedtime routine, which is nice. also got traktor recently, so i may finally be able to do a mix cd before too long. which would also be nice.
hope alls well with everyone who gets badgerd by this email.
brap :)

Check out the amazing ‘Strange Enough’ with a Designer Drugs touch, featuring Ol Dirty Bastard, Karen O. and Fatlip. I think people will like this one… N.A.S.A. Major Lazer - Hold The Line (DJ Edit) The first we’ve heard from Diplo and Switch’s long-in-the-making dancehall project, Major Lazer, and it is every bit as bananas as we hoped it’d be. “Hold The Line” features guest verses from Santigold and Mr. Lexx, animal sounds, cell phone rings, and the unrelenting slap of digitized dancehall cadence. Major Lazer - Hold The Line (DJ Edit) Major Lazer MySpazz
Maximo Park - Let’s Get Clinical “Let’s Get Clinical” boasts an 808 fed through a guitar amp, Ibizan synth pangs and singer Paul Smith trapped in what sounds like an art-metal breakdown about two thirds of the way in. Chastening stuff. Maximo Park - Let's Get Clinical From the Album: Quicken The Heart

And NOW - Your Daily dose of RCRDLBL AWESOMENESS!!! DUUUUUDE NEW METRIC, FUUUUUUCK, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY:
(Photo: Justin Broadbent) Today Metric's new album Fantasies hits stores in the U.S., almost four years since Emily Haines & Co.'s last one, Live It Out. In celebration we've been gifted with a remix of "Help I'm Alive," from on-fire Brazilian electro-house duo The Twelves. Dudes have stepped up their juicy French-touch game on this one, turning out a piano-laden version that sounds lifted straight off the Daft House living room floor circa 1997. We're the only place you can grab this for the moment, so hit the link below to get your feet a twitchin'. You can buy Fantasies directly from the band at their Metric web Metric - Help I’m Alive (The Twelves Remix) and here’s an old track of theirs but still AWESOME cool: Metric - Monster Hospital (MSTRKRFT Remix)
(Photo: John Sisk) Set to drop his excellent new album, Great Lengths, on Tuesday, Dutch producer Martynks to be on the brink of some big things. Not only is the record being heralded as one of the finest dubstep LPs in some time, but "These Words," its keystone, could be the genre's most heartbreaking and accessible track since Burial's "Archangel." Yes, it is that damn good. Stream the tune and another album cut, "Vancouver," below and, if you're in New York, you can catch Martyn at Love this Thursday (with Flying Lotus, Kode9, Zomby, and others) or at Cielo on Friday for the official North American album launch. Martyn - These Words (Ft. dBridge) Martyn - Vancouver
(Photo: Micke Lund) in November, RCRDLBL introduced you to the glitchy, manic world of Kid606, the Venezuelan-born, California-reared producer and boss of the IDM-centric Tigerbeat6 label. On April 28th, he'll release a new album called Shout At The Doner, nominee for album title of the year and his first record since a move to Berlin from San Francisco. Preceding the release is the basslineish single "Mr. Wobble's Nightmare," which got the remix treatment from a bunch of up-and-comers for an EP last month, among them Australian "idiot house" duo Acid Jacks. Below you'll find their all-the-more-ravey version alongside the original, and if you want to get in on the action yourself the label is hosting a remix contest for the track right here. Staten Island quartet Cymbals Eat Guitars came out of seemingly nowhere when, a little under a month ago, their debut album, Why There Are Mountains, was bestowedPitchfork's "Best New Music" honor. Who were these guys? Staten Island, seriously? They were, of course, four hustling musicians who'd struck gold on the songwriting front, crafting a beastly, obtuse album that sounds a lot like Built To Spill, if Built To Spill actually had some youth on their side and could still throw down in a street fight or get upset over a girl. You can grab the record's first two songs below, and pick up the album on iTunes or Insound if you're as into them as we are. The band are playing on Thursday at Webster Hall in New York with The Walkmen and Beach House and on Sunday in Brooklyn at Public Assembly. Expect a turnout.
This track is perfect for both insomniac ravers (or maybe that's my sleep deprivation talking). "Under Control" includes vocals by Kurt Baumann and gassed-up guitar by Tony Bevilacqua. But it is Adam Freeland's feverish, electronic bass and macheted synths that stands out - acting like an accelerant to the fiery chaos in your head, initiating a demonic, late-night dance riot in your cranium. Freeland's new album Cope is out June 9th but if this remixed track of "Under Control" is any indication, it's well worth the wait.
This new video by the new wave-esque, electro-pop girl band, Hearts of Palm UK, was shot in LA by photog/artist Ian Broyles and set on various green screen backdrops - giving it a DIY film-school feel that is comical and appropriately 80's-esque. We are guessing the pyramids, moon and other significant mystical symbols has something to do with Erica Elektra, the heavily-tatted keyboard player who writes the songs; word is she's an astrology expert and "resident mystic." PS: The song from I Flow EP (see below) is the first of SIX EP's coming from Hearts of Palm UK's debut album For Life.
Since Sub Rosa began in early 2001, when Nick Faiella and Adam Lewis met in Southern California, Sub Rosa's grungy, 90s garage rock feel makes sense. "Here In The Filth" sounds straight up guy in tattered sweater cradling a guitar, expeling abrasively raw yet poetic vocals, as candles flickering nearby - like an untouched outtake from Nirvana's infamous Unplugged session in 1993. Their first LP, Slings & Arrows has varying textures - a meld of gritty rock, emo and post-punk sensibilities.
So, my radio show has been lying dormant for a while, HOWEVER, it will be back SOOOON, yours truly, together with The Stockists (a talented bunch of madcap individuals consisting of No's 1, 2 and 3 (as you do) will be appearing at a Campus Station near you and myself (bows) will ALSO be appearing weekly on Rockoutradio, a new online Radio Station, yeah!!!! Björk - Náttúra (Switch Remix) This monster dubstepish reworking of Björk’s for-charity single “Náttúra” by Switch sounds like the ghost of King Tubby was reborn into a Bristol after-hours crowded with dudes in hoodies and face masks. Björk - Náttúra (Switch Remix) Björk Web , Björk MySpazz 77Klash - Pressure (ft. Matt Shadetek) Word is, our boy 77Klash is finally prepping his first album No Fear, leaking its first track, “Pressure,“ last week. It’s a jawn with one of the meanest-sounding riddims we’ve heard in a minute 77Klash - Pressure (ft Matt Shadetek) 77Klash MySpazz
Ghislain Poirier - Get Crazy (ft. Mr. Slaughter) “Get Crazy” was recorded at a hotel in the wee hours of the morning following Poirier’s DJ set at last year’s New Yorker festival. We’re assuming that Mr. Slaughter tacked on his verse after the fact, but maybe he didn’t, and maybe Ghislain and Slaughter were just going at the track until far after the sun came up, ignorant of fatigue and noise complaints. We like that idea. Ghislain Poirier - Get Crazy (ft Mr Slaughter) From the Album: Soca Sound System Ghislain Poirier MySpazz , Ghislain Poirier Web
Ah, but of course. Time for some dirty electro-house, courtesy of an eccentric Frenchman named after a cult B-movie mutant. Fuck yes.
Let’s not muck about here; mix number ten from electro-beast The Toxic Avenger is both brilliant and fun, and supplies the soundtrack to the sort of night out that everyone would be having if the world was a lot more fun.
There’s a dirtied-up take on the Ghostbusters’ theme, hi-NRG rave-oddity from fellow French electro producer Surkin and an occasional Soul II Soul sample floating around for good measure. That’s the kind of mix this is.
There are also some very recognisable sounds in there, including DJ Mujava’s unmistakable kwaito-house debut, Township Funk, and a Duke Dumont remix of current hot ticket Late of the Pier.
Being named after a mutated B-movie creature seems an oddly apt moniker for Simon DeLacroix, as his mix is peppered with retro flashbacks, mash-up antics and just a touch of absurdity, but without ever losing sight of what makes a bloody good tune; hence the punchy, dirty techno hooks and solid beats that perpetuate throughout. Think Ed Banger Records and Daft Punk but with a bit more grit.
As well as playing alongside the likes of Erol Alkan, Crystal Castles and (IHEARTCOMIX label founder) Franki Chan, in a relatively short space of time The Toxic Avenger seems to have mastered the ‘proper’ club vibe – spinning and producing infectious tracks that force you to do a bit more than simply slump against the bar trying not to look happy (what with boredom being conducive with cool and everything). An ethos which is perfectly showcased in this fine selection of tracks.
JUST a short note to show where I will be playing this fine evening and Saturday afternoon!!!! The Cellardoor is a cool Indie.alt pawty pawty I play at most thursdays with mi amigo's Ian, sometimes Martin, and generally guests!! I generally try upset the patrons with my Dancey Dancey Electro Bangers, have the odd fight with a militant Lesbian and generally misbehave Tucker style!! SOOOOO, make yr merry way there my pretties and come PLAY

SOOOO, expect awesomeness, I may just have my mixing fingers on!!! AND SOOOOO, without further ado, my bitches, some mewzak pour toi, coz, as you are aware, I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!! Adore away:
Art Brut - Weird Science Culled from the same Frank Black-produced sessions as their new record Art Brut Vs. Satan, this less-punk, more-pop b-side tells of a mysteriously potent brand of beer, which has Argos “dancing all night to whatever they’re playing.” ART BRUT
I went into my Gmail account this morning to send some tracks to Roxanne, and lo and behold, THIS popped up, another awesome new track from my favourite Dubstepper GEORGE LENTON which of course makes me happier than a nun in a field of cucumbers!! So without any more ceremony and natter, herewith below please find in George's own words his intro to his new track with his lovely fiend Liz Lawrence, Adore away:
how do. last track i sent was fairly grimey. this ones a bit calmer, bit more tuned to the current weather, and the easter holiday (although the holiday doesnt really apply anymore, fuck it) and featuring a singer ive known for a while called Liz Lawrence. She does music of her own to, have a butchers at her myspace ;
Its because I LOVE you all and I had an AWESOME weekend, and an AWESOME chat today with somebody....YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY 7 weeks and 5 days and counting
Then some more things pour toi from RCRDLBL, god bless their cotton sox!!! Bat For Lashes - Glass (Live) If this recording is any indication, Bat For Lashes’ new album Two Suns promises to be a lush, dramatic, almost opiatic experience. As Natasha Khan chants of capes of rainbows as bells jingle, winds howl, and drum beats hypnotize—“Glass” feels like decadent story-time for grow-ups. Bat For Lashes Bat For Lashes - Glass (Live)
