NEW Biscope, Violca, Mum and A Place To Bury Strangers

Biscope are a Dubstep duo from South Africa. Their sound is a mix of influences, taking in the modern sonics of wobbly bass music and electronica mashed together with the tried and tested sounds of soul, funk, hip-hop, reggae and classic dance music.

Ben E King - Stand By Me (Biscope Boot) (soundcloud link)

An epic remix of the all time feel-good classic that subtly builds from minimal organic textures into a stomping bass driven banger.

Biscope - Fire (soundcloud link)

Stereotypical Dubstep basslines and beats meet up with cut up rap samples, video game sounds and falsetto funk to make a mixture of dance-floor magic.

And the usual RCRD LBL goodies:

Múm
Sing Along (FM Belfast Remix)
Icelandic quartet FM Belfast turns Múm’s “Sing Along” into a fuzzy-gutted romp of awestruck vocals and buoyant synths—even if at times those synths sound like a bag of knotted nerves.

A Place To Bury Strangers
In Your Heart (Cereal Spiller Remix)
The first single off A Place To Bury Stranger’s sophomore album follows the record’s maxim: to make the “craziest, most f*cked-up recording ever.” This slept-on Cereal Spiller rework of “In Your Heart” somewhat mitigates the original’s nightmarish reverb and gut-wrenching frequencies, favoring a slicker, snythier ode to 1980.
