UNKLE
Natural Selection (feat. The Black Angels)
Offered as a peek inside their forthcoming album, Where Did The Night Fall, “Natural Selection” sees UNKLE swapping drone blasts with Texan lid-flippers The Black Angels, sounding not unlike a chemically-aided descent into the labyrinthine nether regions of your brain.

White Hills
Dead
Apparently, in the middle of “Dead,” drummer Kid Millions, drops a drumstick. The band say the flub “ended up adding an new dimension to the song,” which is funny because we can’t hear it at all. Regardless, this is super heavy—almost trance-inducingly so—and you should download it to explore other possible dimensions.

Foreign Born
Early Warnings (Rostam Batmanglij’s ‘Boys Like Us’ Remix)
LA’s Foreign Born gets a befitting balmy rinse courtesy of Vampire Weekend’s own Rostam Batmanglij, finally proving that California and outer space are one and the same. We’re breaking out the daiquiris and space paste, because this take on “Early Warnings” blasts the original’s smiling holiday escapism right into the moon.

The Bundles
Pirates Declare War
The Bundles are a supergroup for the low-brow indie set, anchored in the friendship of former Moldy Peach/Juno soundtracker Kimya Dawson and New York anti-folk luminary/comic book artist Jeffrey Lewis. “Pirates Declare War,” ruminates on Funyuns and Cheetos and sounds, unsurprisingly, like infantile basement punk.

Gorillaz
Stylo (feat. Mos Def and Bobby Womack) (Chiddy Bang Remix)
Things we learn in this remix of Gorillaz’ comeback single: Chiddy Bang’s Chidera Anamege was small when he was a child, the Philadelphian rap duo don’t play free shows, “electric is the moon”. Could these apparently disparate phenomena be in any way connected? I don’t think anyone will ever really know.

Miike Snow
Silvia (Hook N Sling & Goodwill Remix)
You’re aware of Miike Snow’s predilection for remixes, so what makes this offering from Australians Hook N Sling and Goodwill distinct? It’s the first time we’ve heard them reimagined as fodder for fist-pumping mega DJs, the ones used to hammering hangar-sized Ibizan crowds with sweeping, build-up-endowed house music.
